Orbit has trained more new divers, equiped them, maintained their equipment, and lead more dive trips, to local, and to international dive sites, than any dive shop in Fairfield County. Certified SDI or PADI instructors teach you both the theory and the practice of scuba diving. The classroom sessions teach the science of scuba diving, explain how the equipment works and show how it is used. The instructor goes over the information explained in the manual, helping the student to understand each important point. Students learn the physics of SCUBA diving, how to identify various marine life, different ways to get into and out of the water, and some of the incredible places that divers can explore for themselves.

Orbit has the experience and skills to maintain the equipment that they sell. This means that the equipment you buy will work properly when you need it. If you need to rent equipment, Orbit can rent you anything from fins and weights, all the way to dive computers. For the local diver, air and nitrox fills are available. All summer long, Orbit runs local dive trips to locations in the sound.
