Good snorkeling conditions, fair amount of fish and sea life. Snorkeled around point to south and into the next bay. Ran into lots of turtles on surface and sleeping on bay bottom tucked into coral.

As good as it was for me in 2008. Fairly clear conditions, swam with 2 Blacktip reef sharks and a Greater Barracuda on the north side of Bay.

I snorkeled this in the afternoon and swells were a little pushy. Good coral and a fair amount of marine life. I spotted a small octopus in the open on a lava finger and watched him for a while.
10/15/2008 3.85 Ulua Beach Maui, Hawaiian Islands
Dove this on an afternoon with SE swells. That made this a little dicey for snorkeling. Visibility was down but still fairly good. Found abundant fish and ran across a turtle feeding in shallows.

Great snorkeling site with easy shore entry. Lots of sea life over coral and rocks throughout the bay. For larger and more varied sealife, work out along deeper reef in the center and on the long fingers of reef extending from the points. I saw my first eagle ray of the trip in the center of the bay.
10/11/2008 3.73 Napili Bay Maui, Hawaiian Islands
10/11/2008 Snorkeled this in the morning. It's a shallow reef about 150ft out from the beach, with reef depth 5-20 feet. There were lots of various fish present, with more of the colorful angelfish and moorish idols towards the south end. Otherwise, there was lots of animal life.
