This is an excellent site to dive! Entry at High Tide is highly recommended because it is a VERY rocky entry through the water out to at least 50-60 yards. Enter on the beach side of the pier. Use your snorkel as far as possible out to the end of the pier to help preserve your air and maximize your bottom time. Once you get out by the end of the pier, you will WANT to stay out there as long as you can because there is so much to see. We saw a small reef shark which was really neat. We '2nd' the other reviews listed! We will DEFINITELY dive this site again!

We really didn't enjoy this dive much at all. It was quite disappointing because the vis was horrible and we really just didn't see anything that interesting. It required a very long swim out to where there was any significant depth or life, and even then we really just didn't see anything that interesting. We would not recommend this site.

We REALLY enjoyed this dive! The entry is not nearly as difficult as we thought it might be. The most challenging part was FINDING the correct location. There are TWO different Makena Road entrances off of Wailea Alanui ... take the SECOND Makena Road. While on the dive, we saw 4-5 turtles that were very friendly & curious ... the last one we saw as we were swimming back into the narrow entry point. It was coming out of the cove. We also saw some beautiful fish and coral. This was a relatively easy and very rewarding dive. We recommend it!
