I loved diving lone tree, I prefer this site over mermaid cove. We saw so many different kinds of fish, some that I have never seen before. We saw a big wolf eel that was partly out of his den, sea lions, so many nudibranches. Beautiful site. There are no washrooms or change rooms. It's a bit of a walk down hill to get to the site but not too bad. Beware of sudden surges. On our first dive, the water was very calm, we surfaced a bit further than planned and it suddenly got very choppy, some good waves hitting us. There is also boat traffic. Definitely recommend an SMB. The best route is to dive around the left side of the island, reach the second cable and then come back the same way. I'd recommend making sure you can make it back close to shore in case the sea conditions get choppy.
