Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at Salt Pier

The Salt Pier is one of the most spectacular dives. The pilings harbor some interesting growth that you won't find easily elsewhere. Since you will need permission from the Cargill Salt Company, make plans early with your local dive shop to schedule this dive. 5.9 km South of the Airport. If you miss this one, you're sleeping!

Salt Pier is no longer open for shorediving to the individual. You are obliged to obtain permission and a dive guide from a dive-facility. Then you have to pay $25, as well. How strictly the Stinapa rangers apply their control is unknown, you may be thrown off by the salt company, as well.
